Rejseplanen wants you to be safe while you are using our website and apps. We therefore have a clear policy for responsibly processing the personal information you give us, respecting your privacy and, naturally, in accordance with the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act and other legislation. We only process personal data when it is necessary, as part of the pursuit of our business and to provide you with the best user experience possible.
IP addresses (including dynamic) are regarded as personal data under the current legislation, but for us, it is only personally identifiable if you provide your name, address or e-mail. We do not process any personal data.
When you search for a trip on our website or in our apps, your IP address is registered electronically. This is personally identifiable information, and Rejseplanen is therefore obliged, as the data controller, to provide you with more information about this. This information, as well as your rights in this regard, are set out below.
Processing and the basis for processing
The following information is collected when you search for a trip in the Rejseplanen app or on our website:
The trip you are searching for, when you search, what features you have used and your IP address are all registered.
If you have used the price display feature in a trip advertisement, you can enter your travel card number to get your exact price. We only provide information about the discount rate associated with the travel card number.
We also process the personal information you provide to Rejseplanen in connection with an inquiry via mail@rejseplanen.dk and/or our contact form, where you enter your e-mail address, your name and possibly your telephone number.
We process this personal data because this is necessary in order for us to make Rejseplanen's functionalities available to you and to provide you with the best search result when you search for a trip.
The legal basis for Rejseplanen’s processing of personal data is Article 6 (1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation, which provides that, in principle, personal data may be processed when the processing is necessary for the purpose of carrying out a task in the public interest. Accordingly, it follows from §28 of the Act on Transport Companies, that the purpose of Rejseplanen is to develop and operate an electronic system on travel timetables and travel planning, and to carry out related processing. It is also intended that Rejseplanen should enter into agreements on commercial use of access to the system. The basis for the processing is also Article 6 (1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, which provides that personal data may be processed when this is necessary in order for the data controller or a third party to pursue a legitimate interest. Rejseplanen’s processing of the information above is necessary to enable us to provide you with the features in Rejseplanen and to administer you as a customer.
Storage period
The IP addresses are stored in log files. In principle, the IP addresses are deleted 3 months after the search was performed. The same applies to other personal information, such as e-mail addresses, names and telephone numbers that have been sent to Rejseplanen, except in special cases, where there is an ongoing correspondence between the user and Rejseplanen.
Links
Rejseplanen's website and apps contain links to other platforms. Clicking on the link will redirect you to another website or app, and then the protection of your personal data by Rejseplanen will no longer apply. It is then the policy of that app or website that applies instead.
